There's an essay in our news feed about a palliative care doctor.  This quote comes from the essay:
“Palliative care has some very philosophical questions. What is meaning? Why do we suffer? The stuff of religion and philosophy and art,” Miller said. “After my injuries, I switched my major to art history because of these very questions. [Studying art] also helped me get serious about perspective.”

  1. I found this interesting podcast about the town of La Crosse, Wisconsin and how 96% of the community has planned for their deaths. It is just over 20 minutes.

  3. A member of a film crew was killed in Georgia due to unsound safety practices. Grief over the incident has morphed into an outcry for safety in the workplace - specifically film crews. It's amazing how one unfortunate event can turn into a movement which has the potential to bring about great change!

But as a sign of respect, crews from around the world - TV and film - have photographed their film slates as a sign of solidarity. The project, Slates for Sarah, is on FB and Twitter. I'm including the link for FB, and you can read Sarah's story there.
