Clergy questions (26 Feb)

This week, 26 Feb, we'll have two guests: Tom Bennett (chaplain, himself a Quaker) and Gerald Twaddell (our college Roman Catholic priest).

What questions do you have for them about death & dying or about religion with respect to human nature?

  1. My question would be, why are there different religions? When you look at the over all picture, everyone dies, but we do not know what happens after death, so nobody knows the truth if there is an afterlife or a Deity.

  2. Do you believe in angels? If so, then how do you define what an angel is? Are they a race of beings like us, or are they supposed to be metaphysical entities like God? Did God create them before or after He created humans?

  3. I would like to know their opinion on the the dualistic nature of Human beings, and if they believe in a dualistic nature how would they describe the it? How are we supposed to satisfy the "Mind" or "soul" when the world around us so centered on the physical world?

  4. I would like to know what their beliefs on Heaven and Hell are. Some people believe both are physical places where our bodies go but others believe they are more abstract places.
